The primary aim of the WINNERS Lacrosse Summer "Hand Up" fundraising campaign is to raise $80,000 to bolster WINNERS summer programming, directly addressing the challenges faced by latchkey youth in Washington, D.C. Our goal is to provide underserved children with safe and enriching opportunities that promote positive development and mitigate the risks associated with unsupervised summer hours.

WINNERS Lacrosse isn’t just a game; it’s a community of mentors, coaches, and teachers dedicated to making a profound impact on the lives of children aged 5-14 who face poverty-related challenges in Washington, DC, and Tampa.
We provide more than lacrosse sticks; we offer mentorship, resilience, and hope. WINNERS delivers programs that empower young minds to overcome life’s obstacles and emerge as genuine champions, both on and off the field.

All of our boys and girls programs are free and we provide all necessary equipment.
OUR GOAL
The goal of the WINNERS Lacrosse Mentorship Program is to address social isolation and enhance the well-being of youth living in disadvantaged neighborhoods in Washington DC by providing mentorship, sports training, and opportunities for social connectivity designed not merely to decrease negative behaviors, but more importantly to assist youth in gaining the competencies and assets that will help them develop into healthy adults in many different aspects of their lives.
All programming is free and equipment is provided thanks to our generous donors!
Moreover, we empower these boys and girls, guiding them to unlock their full potential as compassionate, responsible, and accomplished young men and women.
